RV comes tomorrow
I feel like I just drank a bottle of Sriracha!
My stomach is so stresssssssed out.
Let me back up. Here's how this happened:
A week ago (A WEEK AGO) Jeff came home from his morning walk and told me he had an idea for us. We could buy a used RV and just go. The kids are never going back to school. He is never going to be able to go blow hot air into an instrument around old people at the theater. I'm never going to be able to spend 3+ hours in a strangers' house. So, what are we staying here for?
Much to his surprise I said, "You are right. This is a great idea." And I believed that sentence at that moment.
Everyday since then that day Jeff has been obsessively researching used RVs. He drove to visit 6 of them. Darla saw 2. I saw 1. Zane is in denial.
Yesterday He bought one from a couple in Santa Maria. They are 90 and 95 so not going on many trips these days. The interior is a little dated. Ahem. But the motor looks great and Jeff is good at fixing things.
Today We are really starting to feel some feelings. I listed our house on AirBnb to pay for our trip expenses. We plan to sell the RV once we are done with this trip. Here's our AirBnb listing if you want to stay in our house! hahahaaaa It's listed until the middle of November (for now).
I'm getting the house ready to rent.
Looks like Darla and Jeff are handling this pretty well so far.
Tomorrow Jeff and Mark Visher (he's an angel from heaven) will drive back to Santa Maria and drive home with a Winnabego. I don't even know how to spell Winnebego.
Who knows when We will return home when Jeff is able to work out in public. Or, when the kids' school starts back. So who knows?!?!
I'll keep running my business remotely as much as my amazing organizers are willing to work with masks and gloves on.
Any advice is appreciated and all prayers, too.
Dear Lord, Help those stupid Driskills.
